Master of Arts in Sociology (2 year)

2 year

3-year Bachelor Degree with at least 50 percent marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate or 45 percent marks in the subject of Sociology/ Psychology/Social Work.

The programme is organized into 4 semesters and designed to impart interdisciplinary as well as subject specific educational inputs. While framing the curriculum the research and competitive aspects of the subjects such as Union Public Service Commission, State PCS & JRF NET etc have also been taken into consideration.

1 year

4-year B.A (Honours with Research) Degree with at least 80 credits in the Sociology and with at least 50 percent marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate.

                      OR

One year PG Diploma in Sociology, with minimum 40 credits in the concerned subject with at least 50 percent marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate, after 3 year Bachelor Degree.

The programme is organized into 2 semesters and designed to impart interdisciplinary as well as subject specific educational inputs. While framing the curriculum the research and competitive aspects of the subjects such as Union Public Service Commission, State PCS & JRF NET etc have also been taken into consideration.
